It’s not quite 2 weeks into June BootCamp from Savvy Authors. So far I’m doing a decent job of sticking to my goal of editing 10 pages a day. I haven’t done any work yet today, but as of last night I was 11 pages ahead of where I wanted to be. That’s with going back and re-editing some pages I had already edited, and adding about 6300 new words. Sure, some of those words replace scenes that I’ve cut, but still, that’s a lot of work to do and still be ahead of schedule.
Wednesday I got to go to Creative Meetup for the first time since January. This is where a bunch of the St. Louis NaNoers meet once a month outside of November to continue writing together. I’d missed everyone, and was happy to be able to make it. It was a very productive night.
Tonight I’m feeling the desire to be lazy. I have the urge to watch Repo! The Genetic Opera again, but John is watching the baseball game. So I’ll take that as my hint that I’m not supposed to slack tonight, and will work on some editing…even though I’m ahead.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to change this blog to focus only (mostly) on writing stuff. I’ll still do the Sunday Sum-Up, but will post twice a week about writing related schtuff (yes, I meant to misspell that.) I think it will be easier for me to maintain focus that way. I’m going to make Tuesday and Friday my posting days. So that’s what you can expect from here on out.
And you can always follow me on twitter if you want slightly more often, bite sized postings about anything and everything.
