I know you probably are really busy but I wanted to take the chance to tell you this little bit of information. I know you probably don’t remember me, I was a girl who bought your books at Cosplacon in Jefferson City. Besides me was my younger sister, Cheyenne. She didn’t seem interested in your book at all and even went as far as being mad at me for buying it. She has always had a problem with reading books. She hates anything that is not in a Manga form. She recently went on a trip with my grandmother where there was no electronics and nothing for her to distract herself with. I sent your book with her and she rolled her eyes and said she might look at it. Later that day I got a text from her telling me how awesome the book was. I wanted to tell you that she has finished the first book and moved onto the second and is totally hooked. (I believe this is the first book she has actually read all the way through, let alone a series!) As a person who enjoys reading it always pained me that my little sister never understood the magic of reading a good book. Thanks to you she finally gets it. I know this is long winded but I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what you do. You have inspired a young mind to open her world up a bit and try new things. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much! I look forward to your next installments.
Praise for Divided
I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to this book. It’s part suspense/romance/fantasy, and all of those elements were used in ways that seemed fresh to me. “Divided” took me on an adventure without being completely foreign. Give “Divided” a chance. I think you will find that sense of youth and adventure that I saw in it.
Praise for Ravaged
If you’re reading this you’ve probably already read “Divided” “Ravaged” picks up in many of the places you would expect it to, but I wouldn’t call it predictable. I haven’t read many books that put fantasy in a modern settings. However, the ones I have read manage to show what would happen if magic existed. “Ravaged” imagines those same consequences. Those with magical power(s) would be admired, feared, and hated. “Ravaged” deals more than just those consequences of “Divided”, but I would like to keep this spoiler free. So, if you enjoyed “Divided”, “Ravaged” is similar in many ways, but is unique and complex in it’s own way. I hope you enjoy it on all the levels I did.
