I sent the draft of Saving Wonderland to my amazing story consultant, Chase Night, last week. He’s reading through it as we speak (type?) and in a few weeks will send me his feedback on things such as continuity, does it make sense, are there parts that drag, plot holes, and other things like that.
Once I get his feedback I’ll spend about a week fixing it up before sending it to my editor, who will check for all the nitty-gritty grammar schtuff as well as a second set of eyes on the above things.
I also got an initial draft of the cover that I need to look at and provide feedback on. I’m working with Denise Wy again (she did the covers for all 3 Elena Ronen, PI novels) and am super excited because she’s a dream to work with and exceedingly patient since I have absolutely zero visual creativity and have trouble even visualizing a vague idea of what I want my covers to look like. She manages to come up with beautiful designs for which I’m eternally grateful.
I’ve felt a little lost this week without my book to work on. I have other things I can work on but I just haven’t found the motivation to do so. I’ve basically just caught up on mundane tasks like cleaning and bills.
Until next time, happy reading!
