After 2 years away (well, I did publish Deceived in there but I didn’t even market it) I’m FINALLY back on my writing game and I have a new book to tell you about! I’m going to be much more active on social media going forward – Twitter and FaceBook mostly, with a little bit on Instagram, and weekly posts here. And a post about what I’ve been doing the past 2 years will be coming soon.
I wrote the draft of Saving Wonderland for NaNoWriMo in 2011. It’s a story I always wanted to clean up and publish and the time was finally right to do so. I’ve been working on finishing the draft for the past month and a half. It feels SO FREAKING GOOD to be back on my writing game!!! Saving Wonderland will be published late May/early June (I haven’t yet determined the exact date.) So without further ado, here’s a little look into what Saving Wonderland is about.
Alistair leads an ordinary, uneventful life until he discovers a magic book left on his desk. He never expects that the Wonderland of children’s storybooks is very much a reality or that this mysterious book would lead him to the passage to that world. Even more surprising is when the White Queen tells him he is fated to defeat her nemesis the Red Queen and reunite the kingdoms of Wonderland.
With strange new friends by his side Alistair reluctantly journeys through this baffling land to complete a quest for which he is utterly unprepared. When they narrowly escape an ambush from the Red Queen’s forces, he throws in the towel and tries to return to his own world. Wonderland has other ideas, however, and he quickly finds himself hopelessly lost in enemy territory.
Alistair must draw upon inner strength he never imagined lay within him. Will he find the strength he’ll need when facing the toughest adversary of them all and earn the honor of calling Wonderland “home,” or will he be trapped forever in a world not his own?
